Supported files and length limits

You can upload most audio and video files, including MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, OPUS, AIFF, MP4, M4V, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI, MPEG and 3GP. Recordings from Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet work when exported as MP4 or M4A.

How long can a file be?

• Without a subscription (free plan and packs): up to 2 hours per file.
• With a subscription: the limit of your plan, shown on the pricing page.

If a file is longer than your limit, split it into parts or choose a plan with a longer limit.

Tips

• Upload the original recording rather than a re-compressed copy; it usually transcribes better.
• If an upload fails, check your connection and try again. If it keeps failing, see Transcription failed or stuck.
