Opus Clip is best known for finding moments inside a long video and cutting them into shorts automatically. BriefVox does not do that — it starts from the clip you already cut. If you want the machine to choose your moments, this is not the tool. If you have chosen them and want the words on screen to look deliberate, that is exactly what it does.
Where the two differ
Auto-clipping guesses which thirty seconds matter. That is useful for volume and unhelpful when the point of the video is a specific beat you already know. BriefVox assumes you have made that call and gives you the caption craft afterwards: word-level timing, 26 styles, free positioning and a burned-in MP4.
What you get with your own cut
Upload the clip, get a word-by-word transcript, pick a style and adjust font, colour, outline, highlight and placement directly on the frame. Export a finished MP4, or take the transcript out as SRT, VTT, DOCX or TXT if the captions are going somewhere else.
